However They’re Shipping The Green Shoots, It Ain’t By Train

Note: Don’t be put off by transportSpeakIntermodal traffic just refers to container shipments that can go from ship to rail to truck without handling contents.  It’s how Walmart gets goods from China to aisle 17 on the lower right shelf, and it’s a pretty good proxy for aggregate transportation activity.  First, the year over year changes for the entire North American industry (USA, Canada and Mexico):
